SSL là gì? Tại sao một Website cần phải có SSL cho website?

Chứng chỉ SSL là gì?

SSL là viết tắt của Lớp cổng bảo mật (SSL). SSL là một giao thức bảo mật cho phép giao tiếp được mã hóa giữa máy chủ web và trình duyệt internet. Nó mã hóa tất cả dữ liệu được truyền giữa máy chủ và người dùng bằng khóa mã hóa được đặt trên máy chủ.

Nếu trang web của bạn không có chứng chỉ SSL, thì kết nối an toàn không thể được thiết lập. Điều này có nghĩa là thông tin được truyền đi không được kết nối với khóa mật mã.

Chứng chỉ SSL bao gồm các thông tin sau:

- Tên của người giữ giấy chứng nhận

- Số serial và ngày hết hạn của chứng chỉ

- Một bản sao khóa công khai của chủ sở hữu chứng chỉ

- Chữ ký số của cơ quan cấp chứng chỉ

SSL hoạt động như thế nào?

Khi khách truy cập điều hướng đến trang web bảo mật của bạn, trang web của bạn sẽ gửi chứng chỉ SSL đến trình duyệt của khách truy cập với khóa cần thiết để bắt đầu phiên bảo mật. Điều này khởi tạo SSL và cho phép chuyển thông tin an toàn giữa trang web và trình duyệt của bạn.

HTTPS là gì?

HTTPS là viết tắt của Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure. HTTPS là phiên bản bảo mật của HTTP, giao thức được sử dụng để liên lạc giữa trang web của bạn và trình duyệt internet mà khách truy cập đang sử dụng.

HTTPS có nghĩa là tất cả thông tin liên lạc giữa trang web của bạn và trình duyệt đang sử dụng được mã hóa, có nghĩa là không có dữ liệu nào từ khách truy cập của bạn sẽ bị giả mạo. Khi trang web của bạn được bảo mật bằng chứng chỉ SSL, HTTPS sẽ xuất hiện trong URL trang web của bạn.

Có ba lý do khiến việc chuyển sang HTTPS rất quan trọng để bảo mật website của bạn

1. SSL giúp Website của bạn đáng tin cậy hơn

  • Nếu bạn có thể kể tên được bất kì một trang Web lớn hiện tại mà không có ổ khóa xanh ở góc màn hình, tôi sẽ xóa ngay bài viết này. Còn nếu bạn không tìm thấy, thì đây là lý do chính đáng đầu tiên bạn phải sở hữu SSL.
  • Người dùng ngày càng khó tính và thông minh hơn theo thời gian. Các công ty lớn trên toàn thế giới đều sớm nhận ra điều này và trang bị ngay SSL cho Website của mình. Với SSL, khách hàng sẽ cảm thấy an tâm hơn khi bước chân vào một Website nào đó. Họ biết rằng mình đang rất an toàn vì đã được bảo vệ.
  • Đặc biệt đối với các Website thương mại điện tử. Khi mà mô hình kinh doanh này dựa vào những thông tin nhạy cảm cao như số điện thoại, thẻ tín dụng,… Chuẩn PCI (Payment card industry) đòi hỏi giao thức thanh toán online thông qua SSL phải ít nhất được mã hóa 128 bit. Việc này giúp giao dịch online được an toàn. Làm tăng độ tin cậy và chuyên nghiệp của Website trong mắt khách hàng. Từ đó nâng cao hình ảnh, thương hiệu và uy tín doanh nghiệp. Giúp doanh nghiệp tăng số lượng giao dịch trực tuyến của khách hàng.

2. Google thích Website có SSL

  • Bất kì doanh nghiệp nào cũng bỏ rất nhiều công sức SEO cho Website của mình lên TOP tìm kiếm của Google. Nhưng mọi thứ chỉ là công cốc nếu bạn không trang bị SSL cho Website của mình. Cách đây hơn 2 năm, Google đã áp dụng thuật toán PageRank rất nổi tiếng. Thuật toán này xác định SSL là một trong những yếu tố quan trọng để xếp hạng Website trên công cụ tìm kiếm khổng lồ này.
  • Vì vậy, nếu mọi yếu tố đều giống nhau thì Website có SSL sẽ có thứ hạng cao hơn Website không có SSL. Tất nhiên các yếu tố như chất lượng nội dung, phản hồi của người dùng vẫn được Google chú trọng. Nhưng SSL vẫn là yếu tố rất tốt để gia cố thêm cho việc SEO.

3. Giá trị cốt lõi

Mục đích chính mà chúng ta trang bị SSL cho Website là khả năng bảo mật  mà nó mang lại. SSL đảm bảo mỗi gói dữ liệu được truyền đi giữa trình duyệt người dùng và một website với SSL được kích hoạt đều được mã hóa bởi phương thức mới nhất. Bất kỳ người nào nắm dữ liệu trong tay cũng không thể đọc được vì nó đã bị mã hóa.

Các yếu tố chính làm tăng lợi ích của SSL là :

– Bảo mật dữ liệu: dữ liệu được mã hóa và chỉ người nhận đích thực mới có thể giải mã.

– Toàn vẹn dữ liệu: dữ liệu không bị thay đổi bởi tin tặc.

– Chống chối bỏ: đối tượng thực hiện gửi dữ liệu không thể phủ nhận dữ liệu của mình.

Kết luận :

Nắm bắt được xu thế là rất có lợi trong thời buổi công nghệ hiện nay. Có thể cách đây 10 năm, chúng ta không cần SSL và cũng chẳng cần bảo mật thông tin nhiều. Nhưng giờ đây, mọi giao dịch, thông tin cá nhân đều thông qua Internet. Điều này càng khiến sự xuất hiện của SSL có ý nghĩa hơn bao giờ hết. Hãy tận dụng sức mạnh của nó để nắm phần ưu thế trên Internet.
